I had an unlined Frostline shell coat my mom made for me. I thought it was a little low-rent at the time (my mom was frugal), but she was actually a pretty good seamstress and it was cool. Mine was maroon. I also had a short down jacket, but in the '70s, everyone did. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Holubar made top quality outdoor gear. They had a drawing when they opened the Denver store, and I won the grand prize, a Holubar 3-man backpacking tent. Some years later, the waterproof coating began to flake off (no, I didn’t roll it up and stow it wet) and North Face honored the warranty, no questions asked. _______________________________________________________ despite them

One of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made was an Eddie Bauer expedition premium quality goose down vest. From the mid 70s it remains in regular service with no complaints.
