| I had an Armslist scammer going around in circles recently just for my own amusement on a slow weekend. It was such an obvious scam and my responses were so obviously just fucking with him over trying to pay with bitcoin that you have to wonder how dumb these clowns are. I can only assume they work in some 3rd World boiler room operation making pennies an hour to post and send emails. If one in a thousand tries makes a few bucks I guess it pays off. I had the guy going for about 25 emails back and forth about how to meet up to give him my "gold bitcoins." It was amusing, at least to me. LOL. |

| I've done well on Armslist but definitely be wary. I've gotten lucky on some and have backed out of a few other shady deals. The FTF is absolutely the only way to not get had. If you absolutely positively must buy from out of state YOU can try to find an FFL local to them that will escrow for you ( hold the item, ship upon payment) but buyer or seller beware cant be said loudly enough.
If I'm selling I always make sure to go via FFL to get the gun out of my name and make sure I did my part to keep it out of some gas station clerks face. I lose some sales this way but it protects me down the road. |
