Just a matter of time, nothing stays the same. Do you think we will have one in the near future? I don't, but will it make it better or worse, would have to try one and see.
This place pretty much runs itself, an AI diversity hire bot would most likely suffice, allowing the boss to relax more in Tahiti.
Correct spelling, answer questions, handle inquiring emails (not that there is much).
As always, thank you for what you do here para, this place is really cool.

I'm with you with the robot race, but everything is going that way and the ones that don't want to deal with it are dying off, like me.

Thanks for that link, first I've heard of it, totally approve.

My post was more to thank the boss than anything, I can see this going in the wrong direction, maybe a bot would put it back on track (just kidding).

My way of sarcasm doesn't seem to work well with magnetic ink.
The Boss does a lot here and I doubt AI would replace him.

Correct spelling? If AI is as good as my iPhone at correcting spelling then we are all doomed. My iPhone makes some really odd choices when correcting spelling and I would expect AI to be no better.

^^^ You haven't seen the hair our Malamute and Husky sheds. A Roomba would go into despair and dive down a staircase.

Original question still holds, though. I have no idea what kind and how much work goes into running a website. Could an AI do any of it without creating more chaos than not doing it at all?

I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

Para is mighty good at what he does here. That said, we may have had a bot(s) here and never even known...but I doubt it.

Not sure if that’s racist or mysobotics.

We’ve killed a few Dyson vacuums with Malamute (Wooly Malamute btw) fur.

Dyson made a claim to my wife they’re working on a model to help.

Machineist! No semi-autos for you!

WRT a robot/AI moderator, I suspect we've already had an AI poster or two. Fighting fire with fire is rarely a useful strategy, sometimes the fires combine into a serious conflagration.

And, it may be wisest to consider whether the offensive person you're responding to might not be a person at all.

I could be wrong, but I think the boss is the hands-on type of person. He enjoys it.

Could be, I kinda invisioned he would idling more, you know, getting old and stuff. Might take some load off of the moderators too, either that or create total chaos Big Grin.
Never even thought about one coming in to visit, didn't even know that was possible. I haven't been following the bot progress much, doesn't interest me.
Prolly should pay more attention on what they're up to.
