Today, I received my Vortex Razor UHD 8x42 Bino's. I cant compare them to the European glass, other Vortex or any other bino's because I never owned bino's over $500 until I purchased these.

I spent most of today with them. They're very clear and great in low light. I'm very happy with them.

++++ Vortex Binos. Mine have been great and a good bang for the buck.

I tossed my Leupolds after getting the Vortex bino's. Couldn't be happier. Maybe they aren't Swaros, but they sure help me see things better.

I have 3 sets of Vortex binoculars, but mine are not on the same level as yours.

Mine are compact versions, in varying powers, easy to carry while walking.

Personally , I like Kowa optics better.

Enjoy your new purchase.

The Razor UHD 8x42’s are on my wish list. I have had the Viper HD 8x42’s for several years. Using them primarily for birding, they have been great and durable. As my eyes are getting older, I think the improved low light capability of the UHD glass will help. Congratulations on a nice pair of binoculars. Give us a range report in a few months and let us know how they have been for you.

I was at Cabela's a year or two ago and look thru a pair of Vortex Razor HD, Nikon Monarch HG, and Swarvoski don't remember which model, but they were well north of $2,500, Nikon HG $1,000 and the Vortex Razor HD around $1,200-ish I think. Hands down the Nikons outperformed the Vortex Razor for their ability to seek out fine detail and rivaled or beat the Swarvoski's in my opinion. I would imagine the Vortex UHD's are an upgrade and honestly, they needed it compared to these other two. Happy viewing!
