These imbeciles will manage to kill birds, crash airplanes and coat the earth with an artificial substance. It will fall onto the land and into the sea and no one knows the long-term effects of their buffoonery. How many millions of tons of this stuff will they have to put into the air? Utter idiocy.

It's never going to happen, of course, just like all the other puerile fantasy that comes out of the mouths of these oxygen thieves.

What could go wrong? It's not like dimming the sun would have any effect on crop growth, rainfall, or anything important for survival of mankind or anything.

This administration needs some adult supervision.

A mini Dyson sphere?

No. A Dyson’s Sphere is a shell equal in size to the diameter of an M-class planet’s orbit around a star with the population living on the inside of the shell rather than on an orbiting body.

What Rogue is talking about is different. And much smaller, so it should be doable.

This has been my neighbor’s idea for the past 3 years.

He has advanced electrical engineering degrees, had a tremendous corporate career in telecommunications and is a good friend. He’s in his 80s now. We drink a moderate amount of wine whenever he comes over for a visit.

However, he gets his news solely from PBS. Literally.

“I could solve global warming for a mere $50 million dollars. Really! They just need to let me engineer the release of suspended solids in the atmosphere and I can reduce the global temperatures by half a degree… maybe even a full degree. It’s really very simple.”

He has said this, completely sober, many times.

People that whine about about human made climate change dont realize that everything they touch is produced by petroleum.

I would love to see their reaction if petroleum production would cease. Soory no more Apple phone for you!

Several years back I remember reading a potential way to combat climate change's "root cause" by capturing carbon in engineered algae blooms. At the time Florida was having problems with red-tide blooms on both coasts.

Oh the irony...

Why are they all SO obsessed with half a degree?

I really don’t get it.

Engineers solve problems. Sometimes they don't have the right problems to solve, but they solve them anyway.

"Global Warming" isn't the problem, the affects of climate changes on people is what they are crying about. "I just bought a beach house & the seal level is rising. Someone (else) need to do something!!!!".

In the recent & distant past there is evidence that the earth has been much cooler & much warmer, so why the hell do these idiots expect it to stay the same in every 20yr period? The theories are flawed, the data collection & analysis is laughable and there's always a sales pitch that benefits the huckster.....

So, we’ve been two hundred years trying to decide if eggs are good or bad for us, Cheerios is heart healthy, and wearing a paper mask will save the population. Now, let’s fuck with our planet!
It still boggles my mind that scientists weren’t sure if detonating an atomic bomb would destroy our planet, and still we pushed the button!

Bill Gates, Soros, the World Economic Forum & the rest of the globalists must be wetting their pants just thinking about this. Soon they'll be able to manipulate the sun to determine which regions of the globe will have bumper crops, and which regions will experience famine, drought, or floods.

What the hell was I thinking! It was probably their idea to begin with.

So, I haven’t done the math - but I suspect the engineer didn’t either.

Fairly sure we’re talking about billions of cubic feet that would have to be dispensed. And billions of pounds which would have to be lifted.

No way to do that for 50MM.

Hmmm, one could say that they are climate change deniers, eh? Since they seem to think that the climate is supposed to stay the same since the mid 1900's until forever.
