just curious,
now many re watch every now and again a series or movie you enjoyed?

I'm not talking about channel surfing and watching a James Bond, or Tom Clancy movie for the 34,589th time, as in stop and watch a bit,

as in watch a series or a good Movie from start to finish ,

example, I decided a while back to watch The Expanse from start to finish and did the same for Altered Carbon,

picked up some stuff I missed on the past watch, guessing not having to wait for a season to drop kept it fresh

I've lost count of the times that I've watched Apocalypse Now, We Were Soldiers, Hunt For Red October, Animal House, Caddy Shack, and a bunch of others.

I've watched the Sopranos 3 times. The Wire about the same. Justified twice. First season of True Detective 2 or 3 times. Band of Brothers 10x.

Just watched a lesser known favorite movie of mine for the 4th time tonight. (Elizabethtown.) Classics like Raiders of the Lost Ark or Goodfellas or Chinatown many times. And many, many others.

With as much crap as gets unloaded on us, I find it more and more enjoyable to just rewatch shows and movies I like--sometimes on a yearly basis. As an added bonus, it's always fun to annoy the shit out of others by quoting lines along with the characters.

With some movies such as the Christopher Nolan films, I'll typically watch them a second time almost immediately.

Lately I have been watching reruns of Gunsmoke. Both the half hour and the early full hour shows.

We've rewatched Justified, Deadwood, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Need to add The Sopranos to the list. Not quite the same, Curb Your Enthusiasm more than a couple times. We have all these shows on disc.

I’ll watch my favorite movies every so often, but not so much with series.

But one that I try to watch on a one to two year timeframe is Band of Brothers. It’s so well done, and I feel enriched every time I see it.

Books were mentioned, and I always come back to the Lord of the Rings trilogy ever since I was a teenager, maybe 3-4 years in between. I always get the same feeling of enrichment after.

Wink I think it’s my favorite serialized drama. For Justified fans, Olyphant is a weak link. That said, the writing is brilliant. I’ll add, Ian McShane is a force of nature.

And many others

I’ve got 100 items across a few different watchlists. But I’m never in the mood for them. I keep watching stuff I’ve already watched. Most of it old stuff.

The only series I rewatched and will watch again is the Last Dance.

Films, far too many to count, far far too many, especially the last few years as the studios have shifted away from making films to making bullshit episodic garbage.

I would very much like to rewatch the original Magnum P.I. and Miami Vice. Does anyone know how I can get the entire series of each.

They have the REAL Magnum PI at WalMart for about $40, IIRC. Don't know about Miami Vice.

I routinely re-watch seasons/movies. I rarely watch anything new (only new shows I watch are 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lonestar, and The Mandalorian).

I have Babylon 5, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica (both versions), Doctor Who (2005 reboot with Doctors 9-12), and a buttload of Star Trek on DVD that I will occasionally re-watch.

I just started Star Trek the next generation.

On first season episode 3.

I also did the Waltons and Battlestar Galactica.

This is the one time a poor memory works out for me!
