There have been 101 line of duty deaths and countless other injuries so far this year. 38 of these deaths were due to gunfire or stabbing. I have to imagine that at least one of these could have been prevented with proper medical training and equipment. Our jobs are dangerous and there is an ever increasing threat of terror type attacks. I also recognize that a lot of departments are unable to provide officers with proper medical equipment and training.

So with that in mind, I would like to karma the following items to one active duty patrol officer who DOES NOT currently have these items.

1 - Generation 7 CAT Tourniquet
1 - Rigid case to hold the tourniquet on your duty belt
1 - QuikClot sponge
1 - Trauma Wound Dressing (Israeli Bandage)


To Qualify:
~ Be employed full time as a street LEO (sorry you detective types)
~ Not own these items
~ Be a reasonably active member who joined before this posting
~ Promise to wear the tourniquet on your duty belt at all times (including part times)
~ Promise to Youtube how to use the items I send you so you know how to use them
~ Promise to always wear your body armor
~ Promise to never give up in a fight
~ optional - being sent your department patch would be neat but not required


I'll choose the winner with the ole' Karminator sometime this weekend.

Dude, cool Karma. I am disqualified from entry since I already have all of these and I spend more time on emails and paperwork than I do on patrol.

However, give to someone who needs it and you may well save a life.

I have these items already, but don't carry them on my person as I should. I keep a trauma kit next to the drivers seat with all of these items. So, thank you for supporting LEOs and thanks for helping another fellow officer.
