Not sure if it was posted in the Lounge or Gallery but nothing seems to come up when I search them. Maybe 4 years back, a Member showed us his beautiful 2nd Ammendment quilt made for him by IIRC, Mother or Mother in law. A beautiful damn piece of hand made talent, all of red, white and, blue. I know many here will remember that beautiful quilt. Anyone happen to have saved the images of it ? Perhaps it's proud owner can share his photos again ?

What happened to BamaJeepster? He hasn't posted in three years, according to his post search.

What happened to Rolan Kraps?

And P226RN?

And jhe888?

And we had a husbqnd and wife, can't recall his screen name, they made amazing pepper grinders.

Flashguy, someone went by his house a few years ago. He had been in the hospital IIRC. No obituary online that I can find.

And Brecaidra, and her husband was also a member here.

This thread is going way off topic! The OP might want to edit the title.

It does seem that our female members are posting less in recent years. Perhaps due to a growing number of threads where a certain loss of civility has occurred. Wanna keep the "Girls of SF" around? Let's be nicer to each other.

I don't know about the others you mentioned, but sadly, Rolan Kraps died several years ago.

I know, we all know, his wife passed away. He posted about it. But him dead? Are you sure? Never heard of this, if true. “several” years? He last posted in 2024.

Did he? Damn. IIRC, he was married to a Ukrainian woman and got pissed when sentiment here was against Zelensky's grift. That's why I thought he was absent.

Agree. I assume...hope Rolan (Dave) is still with us. As a matter of fact, I recall he remarried after his wife passed.

I talk to Rolan Krapps every day.

He's on vacation in Dubai at the moment.

He remarried.

I'm so sorry to have posted that bad info about Rolan, he's always been one of my favorites here, but I sincerely thought it was posted here that he had passed.

Rolan, a personal apology to you, as well.

Balzé Halzé?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Yes, I lost my wife in 2019 and remarried in 2022.

I developed crippling Arthritis and Stiff Hand Syndrome (Cheiroarthropathy) which made reloading and Cowboy Action Shooting too painful to continue.

I choose to quietly leave for a while due to disagreements over the question of Ukraine. I'm 1/4 Uke, and my wife is 100% American born Ukrainian. She has relatives there who are victims of Russian tyranny.

If anyone wants to reach out to me, please do.

Rolan,
not all of us were anti Ukraine. I am anti corruption in any government and I was suspicious of the Ukraine being high on the food chain.
I am strictly against Putin (not the Russian people) and what he is doing over there. Very disappointed in the rest of Europe for sitting on their hands and letting Putin do what he is doing.
