Best free music app to use through Apple Car Play Login/Join

I just cancelled my Sirius/XM service and I am looking to use one of the many free music apps. I would like an app that would closely resemble Sirius/XM where I could easily switch between different preset stations/genres of music.

If it matters my vehicle is a 2019 Ram 1500.

Thanks

Free Spotify if you don’t mind ads.

This is my go to, but on Android.

Spotify all the way

And if you don’t mind shelling out 10 bucks a month, you get zero ads, unlimited song skipping and higher quality (bitrate) music.

It’s worth it to me.

And it sounds like hollow, tinny shit and you STILL get ads. Paid Spotify has 320 kbps bitrate which is above CD quality and NO ADS. I think the best Sirius/XM can do is 128 kbps.

It’s all about what is valuable to you. The cost of 2 cups of coffee is worth it to me to have high quality streaming music whatever I want it.

Yeah, but if you have a tree or a building in your area it cuts out when you pass them.

If I’m not using YouTube Music, I really enjoy Radio Garden Live. Check it out. Antenne Vorarlberg Chillout from Schwarzach Austria is one of my favorites.

I've been paying for Pandora but the repetition is getting old. What does Spotify run? I'm am also streaming though Apple CarPlay.

Mine doesn't sound like hollow, tinny shit and I get no ads but that's because I only listen to the music channels.

OTOH, I've only had it for 2 years and only listen to it all day every day in my house, on my Lanai and in my car 5AM to 5PM so the ads could be coming later.

I am still rocking the $2.99 a month grandfathered Pandora. It is how I learn about new/different music anymore.
You have to use the thumbs up and thumbs down quite consistently to keep the music from getting repetitive.

Mine sounds decent but not nearly as good as most of the streaming services when hardwired and not on Bluetooth.
The only reason I have Sirius/XM anymore is for the Catholic Channel.
It’s been long gone for years but I so wish the would bring back The Kiln! That was a great Christian Hardrock station.
Always wondered how one gets/becomes a satellite radio station.
Would love to see a station where some of the old hard rock Christian band members were DJs
