Truly a hero, doing whatever is necessary to save a life.

But, I wonder how long before he gets DOXED by someone that can't stand good people.

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

What a quality human being. Kids today would ridicule the guy for risking his own life to save someone he doesn't know.

Reminds me of a story a few years back of a guy who was apparently suicidal and jumped into the bay and Alameda City fire and police stood and watched and nobody jumped in because it wasnt in their purview to do water rescues ( no really, the union prevented it) or some other sorry reason and a bystander finally jumped in and saved the guy.

The report says there was 4-6 feet of water under the bridge. The water depths are constantly changing in that area. He could not have known the actual water depth. Jumping from 25-30 feet, it is only by the Grace of God that the guy wasn't killed himself.

I’d like to know why this child was ejected? Were they not in a car seat?

I watched the longer interview. He boats in that area and was just leaving the dock. He not only knew that the water was shallow, but that it was also sandy. He said he jumped feet first and forward knowing that he would bottom out but was positioned to roll forward onto his knees and then his arms. He said it was probably 5-6' a that time.

They said the car seat was in the water too, separate from the baby.. Didn't hear any clarification about how it came out of the vehicle, or why the baby was not still secured within the seat.

It feels great to see something inspiring and uplifting for a change. It helps to flush out some of that depressing negative garbage in our minds... Do you feel it?

That line brought back the memory of this which has absolutely NOTHING to do with this thread and heroics by that man. If you're put off by adolescent flatulence humor, don't open the link.

When called upon he answered heroically. I know we all aspire to answer similarly when circumstances require.

God bless him.
