I second this. A 1/2" drive breaker bar w/ a deep socket attached allows you to apply a lot of torque when necessary. It is after all designed for breaking things free.

darthfusterI wonder if a life like cardboard cut out of Anton Chigurh in the back seat would suffice. Perhaps it would improve access to the HOV lane too...

Ha.
What exactly is your gas pedal going to do when you're on a major road w/multiple lanes in each direction, stopped at a red light with multiple cars in front of and behind you, as well as to both sides, and the guy in the car one lane to your right and one forward, gets out of his car waving a claw hammer and screaming threats and obscenities at you?
Yeah that happened to me once. Great story. One reason why I moved to America so I could have a gun for just such eventualities. All I had at the time was my 4d maglite and disgust.

Or caught by surprise on a deserted street at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, like three women were today in Chicago. The carjacker was on foot, she hit the gas, he shot her dead.

Not recommended for everyone (anyone). I'm in a company Bronco, first in line at red light, a guy in the right turn lane next to me. Light turns green and he jets in front of me, I almost cream the guy to my left and the guy behind locks up.
Same situation at the next light. I pull up so close to the offender he can't get out of his side. I open my passenger side door rather vigorously into his door. He's pissed to say the least, pulls out a night stick and starts beating on that side of the Bronco. I laugh and yell "Not my car". Light changes, we go our separate ways. Not proud of this story but I can't undo the fact that it happened.

https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...lade-hardwood-handleIt is pretty small at under 20 inches. Hadn't really thought about it, but i guess it could make a good poking tool in cramped quarters.
I have one of those too.
The edges of the blade are sharp enough to make a clean cut in a sheet of paper. So I keep a sheath on it.
It would take a while to unsnap the sheath and get it off as it is a tight fit.
Still, it would make a great implement to repel boarders.

Ryanp225I carry pepper spray in the door panel and this is in the map pocket of my passenger seat where I can reach it.

Yup. I never leave home without it. But not easy to wield in a vehicle.
