It was working this morning, but Gmail in Chrome on my Android says, "No offline messages". At the bottom of the screen it says, "Gmail unavailable".
The same message comes up on on my business phone as well in Chrome. I cleared all the data on both devices and it still comes up. A secondary email address I have works fine, but not the one. Does anyone know how to fix this? Did I accidentally hit something while using Gmail on my desktop today?
It works in the Gmail app, but prefer to use it in Chrome. Thanks.
Could have something to do with their webview update debacle.
If you do a search online you'll find a bunch of info, but you can try an update to chrome, and the webview app from the play store and see if that helps.
I'm still finding things that aren't right on my phone.

In order to return most functionality to my phone uninstalling chrome seemed to be the only salvation.
My texting had collapsed as well as NotePad app. Which I use both of a lot. Basic Phone still worked but that was all.
Came within a few key strokes of doing a hard reset but saw message on line to try chrome removal and that worked.
Not sure when I can or should reinstall chrome.

Thank you. What doesn't make sense is why one Gmail works in Chrome on my phone and the other doesn't. That's what makes me wonder if I changed something accidentally. It also carries over to multiple devices with that email, but it does work in the Google app. Weird.
Both my gmail and outlook email crashed the other day and the message I received stated a problem with webview. I didn't do anything to correct it but the next morning both were back working.
