Most all stations jumped from $2.45 to $2.69 overnight. Those greedy station operators /sarcasm

45 to 49 cent spike here the past 2 days

Went from $2.73 to $3.09 in the last 24 hrs.

Up around $0.19/gallon overnight. Since Sunday, up about $0.27/gallon total.

And on top of recent increases here in PA, the state gas tax goes up another 4 on diesel, and 3 cents on gas.

PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) — Pennsylvania’s gas tax is set to increase in 2023, all due to a law passed a decade ago.

The law, which was signed in 2013 by then-governor Tom Corbett, triggers an automatic tax increase when the wholesale gas price exceeds $3 per gallon.

On Jan. 1, 2023, Pennsylvania’s gas tax will increase by $0.03 per gallon, bringing the total to $0.61.

The tax on diesel fuel will rise by $0.04 per gallon for a total of $0.78 per gallon.

The tax applies to wholesalers who are expected to pass along the increased prices to drivers.

According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is $3.61.

Last Monday I drove into town to get groceries and run a couple errands, gas was at $2.77 and I decided I'd fill up on my way back. When I pulled into the gas station gas was now at $2.99.

So ya, I'd say gas prices were on the climb again!

Yesterday it was $2.99 here and a few miles away at one station it was $2.88. It has gone down considerably the last few months. At one point it was up to $5.49.

I find these prices interesting.

$2.53 to $2.99 here in the past two days.

Diesel is still way north of $4 here.

Diesel, about two bucks a gallon more than regular grade gasoline around here.
