Best $50 I ever spent on the neighbor kids to do it. It's fricken freezing outside! ------------------------------------- Always the pall bearer, never the corpse.

Ha! I parked the 4Runner on the lower part of the driveway and only did below it... all good. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Wow inflation. We made five bucks a driveway and used shovels.

I have a 4Runner as well and I got out and back in the garage with little effort. But we got 12" of snow yesterday and today, and then it started drifting. The wife and daughter aren't comfortable driving through that much snow to get in the garage.
Times have changed it was the same when I was a kid. The neighbor kid is 13 and with that much snow and it was 16 degrees plus the wind I wanted to teach him you get good reward for hard work. ------------------------------------- Always the pall bearer, never the corpse.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Good for you. We occasionally had competition from Adults with snow plows on their jeeps. We had a better sales pitch promising a good complete job and no harm to the shrubbery. We usually got the job.

Wow I'm shocked that young people are actually doing that anymore. I haven't had any kids knock on my door to shovel the driveway in more than 25 years.

We called him up and asked if he was interested. His father is raising him right and teaching him to work hard at a young age. He will do fine I think. ------------------------------------- Always the pall bearer, never the corpse.

One of my friends lives in Leon, NY. (population- several). 95% of his neighbors are Amish. His closest Amish neighbor plows his driveway with a team of Morgan horses and a sledge/plow. They charge him $5. Not too many deals like this around these days...
