to this Dakota Cable Alarm, Dakota discontinued them, and apparently no one makes one similar? my google fu is finding them on websites here and there, but none instock etc etc etc, the one I have is acting up, as in dying, and I use these at gunshows (run a co-ax cable thru trigger guards) to let us know when someone takes a firearm off the table any ideas appreciated https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

Two weeks ago I saw one at a gun show and asked about it, and was told that they had just bought it, for around $200 I think. I don't know what brand it was. I was asking because I was thinking about making them to sell. I could definitely build one for you if you can't find one somewhere else. Let me know.

maybe, basically the box sits on a corner of our tables, near us, and we thread RCA cables thru the trigger guards, (generally 4-6" cables joined together) when someone snatches up a long gun (and they always do) it breaks a connection and alerts you to look for that break (and hopefully sell that gun to the dude or dudette that plucked it up, ) the keyed feature is handy to turn it off, and reset, one side of the switch will shut the tone off when the connection is re established, ours got wonky this past weekend, and a lot of the gun dealers that use similar were gone, and I did not have a lot of time to socialize and see if anyone had something similar , we have another show this weekend, so I'll look around to see, honestlou, I may take you up on that, fwiw, the one pictured was only about $40 when they were new
