Dad passed 3 years ago, and Mom wants to clear out the garage. There is a Campbell Hauser 5 hp, 60 gallon tank, 230 volt air compressor, a Craftsman tool box (pre China, I think), a vise so old the markings have rusted off and a bunch of hand tools he used on golf carts. Any idea on the values, she lives in SW GA.

New ones run around 1,000 a little less if you shop around. Being 230 might turn off some DIY's Is the Tool box 24 - 40 - 56 inch ? roller (bottom) or top or both ? _______________________________________________________________ It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit. I’m tempted to hook up my trailer and come get that bad boy compressor! You’d be amazed how many shops I’ve helped sell off over the years. We never took advantage of the owner, we simply marked everything with a very fair price but allowed a bit of haggle room and turned over the proceeds to the family.

An old American made bench vise is worth a decent chunk of change. Surface rust is not really an issue. I'd rather buy a vintage American made vise than todays crap from china. They're fun to clean up and rejuvenate. The old Sears Craftsman tool box, are the drawers on old fashioned slides or on roller bearings? The old slides are problematic. Do the drawers roll in and out easily? You used to be able to buy new slides from Sears but I have no idea if that is still available.
