The guy is an absolute clown. Slow down to 5 mph, stop, back up to 10 mph, then 20 mph. Tires are coming off the rims. I can’t believe one of the officers hasn’t started hitting the remaining tires with buckshot. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone | |||

Oh my. First police chase I have ever seen where the criminal is surfing on their phone. The chopper finally zoomed in on the drivers window and he’s got a big ass phone he’s surfing while officers are right on his bumper. Traffic is backed up for many miles, and he’s live on TV. Even the got damn crooks have pacifiers now that they can’t put down while engaged in criminal activity. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone | |||

I've never understood the reason for a chase with no intent to actually catch or stop the person being chased. If you're not going to actually make the effort to end the chase, you may as well just ignore them and let them go about their way. | |||

I caught some of that insanity last night. Amazingly, they let it go on for over 6 hours. It only ended because the driver finally pulled over. | |||

In most places a chase only ends when they get away, give up, or wreck and can't run anymore. Boggles my mind. If the fear is you don't want innocents to be injured by maniacs fleeing, then ramming them off the road should be the go-to. My suggestion is a guided missile that will vaporize someone who flees in a reckless manner, but it ain't happening. I'd just as soon not chase, as to not have a realistic way to END a chase. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.
