One of the YouTube channels I visit created an Ultrasonic Cleaner 101 video.
While I have no experience using these cleaners, I usually agree with IraqVeteran88 most of the time when he discusses things that I do have an abundance of experience using.
I would appreciate SigForum Members post about anything in these videos they disagree with based on their experience.

I had some leftover money in my budget one year so I bought an ultrasonic cleaner for my department. There was a learning curve, to be sure. The thing worked but the problem was the cleaning agent or liquid it used. Almost intolerable odor of ammonia when you used it. As a result, I did not use it all that often. This was 20+ years ago, so maybe the cleaning liquid is different now.

Best ultrasonic cleaners I used used Freon. It was hell trying to find them when they started phasing Freon out.

I have the Hornady Lock and Load 7L ultrasonic cleaner, which is no longer available, and it works AMAZING for pistols, parts, and brass. I ABSOLUTELY love it! They have the 9L Hot Tub that can hold an AR upper. I should have gotten that version, but went less expensive at the time.
