Just for fun on the RoboCop theme, the block I worked on in Deep Ellum in Dallas in 1987 was a big part of the set for the movie filming. A lot of the old empty buildings across the street were transformed into surface appearing “businesses.” They blew up the car at the intersection our building was on, but I couldn’t stay late that night. A lot of my coworkers did and got to see it and had a blast. We were really sad when they wrapped up. Well, except for being able to see the dude who lived in a loft in an old building across from us through our office windows strolling around naked in his apartment. We’ll leave off the homeless getting nekkid and getting it on under the Downtown Central bridge we could see as well… | |||
