18.8 million viewers total across all the networks…LMAO!

I think reruns of King of Queens do better numbers than that.

Read here, they helpfully rounded up to 20 million but the article states otherwise Roll Eyes

January 6 Committee Primetime Hearing Watched By Estimated 20 Million Viewers

When are the Democrats going to realize that nobody gives a shit about January 6 anymore? People are worried about their next tank of gas and how much that is going to cost them and the next trip to the grocery store, how much that has gone up.

What a bunch of tone-deaf assholes. Mad

I was among the many who did not view the "show". The big question for me has been, and still is, why do people in Wyoming vote for Liz Cheney?

What is even funnier is that the Dems hired an ABC producer to make the show more compelling.

I was hoping that the numbers would be even lower, but I can live with these.

Her last name and (previously) the lack of a better candidate. I suspect she'll be out of a job in a few months though this time around.

Well the article I just saw showed that she is well behind the Republican challenger and she is most likely going to be voted out over all this anti Trump crap.

Good riddance

If so, then that'll make two good things that will come out of this.

The first, of course, being the public demonstration of the weakness and deranged overreach of the Dems' "case".

If you haven’t figured it out, the left will hold pointless “investigations” from here on out as long as they have the speaker.

So from who and how did said producer get paid? Nobody knows. If he wasn't paid, there are laws against that too.

If they are going to violate campaign finance laws etc... they could have at least have made a decent show.

There is no way to produce the boring out of politicians bloviating with opening statements. The sound of channels being switch shortly upon seeing that is deafening. Ben Shapiro played one opening statement and I made it for 30 seconds before switching to music.

The Dems are like the boy who cried wolf. They tried and tried for years to sink Trump with their lies. Now the general public thinks nothing but a collective “meh” at the latest witch hunt.

They are reaping what they’ve sown.

It seems that one of the upcoming "witnesses" to be questioned by this outfit is Cheney's opponent's campaign manager.

If anyone had any question about whether or not our government is out of control, this pretty much settles it.

As does the right when they are in the majority. It’s a political thing; not a right or left thing. A pox on all of them as far as I am concerned. If they are not crooks when they get there, they will be in a few weeks no matter party affiliations.

I saw a short segment where the person was saying 20 million views is very significant in today's fragmented market.

She said, and yes this one is worthy of a laugh, that the hearings garnered more views than the Oscars. When I heard that, I did think, "that's not saying much."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Except here's the thing: I really do want to know why the capitol security was overwhelmed if they had advanced notice and an offer from Trump to send the national guards.

I do want to know if anything in Hunter's laptop points to Biden being compromised. Why it was discounted by 50 government officials.

The Jan 6 committee has all anti-Trump politicians including the Republicans involved. They did not allow Republicans that were chosen by the leading Republican as normal. They excluded Nancy Pelosi from being deposed when she's the one who has control over Capitol security.

Diminishing what is happening by saying they all do this is turning a blind eye to the third world banana republic tactics being used. These are the kind of things that happen in third world banana republics. Many people move from those third world banana republics in the hopes of finding true democracy here. I don't want America to devolve into being just third world banana republic.

I would like a break down of the numbers. How many watched the entire thing ? How many tuned in for a few minutes ? How many count as they were channel surfing past this ?
It is sad that anyone watched it through to the end. But, they could all have been Govt employees.
Estimated how many may have seen it as the TV was on at airports ?

Valid question: “Why DID people in Wyoming vote for Liz Cheney?” Answer, because she was the Republican nominee for Congress in a state that votes overwhelmingly Republican.

The big question then becomes, “Will people vote for Liz Cheney?” Answer, not likely.

Cheney posts regularly to FB as part of her campaign, trying to convince voters of her conservative bonafides. She gets lots of responses. I’ll guess that 80% of the praise or positive response she gets are from out-of-state Dems; they think she’s great. Yooper, I wouldn’t worry too much about Wyoming Republicans.
