Financially, anyway.
I managed to get my All my credit cards paid off early this year. And I’ve actually MADE money churning them on cash back rewards.
All my vehicles are paid for.
I’ve been able to make some stock purchases for the first time in my life.
The kids are starting to cost a little bit less.
Things are actually looking up, financially, for the first time since my divorce.

Outstanding! I'm actually in a similar boat now, although it's been a bit bumpy getting here.

I pulled the ejection handle on a failed marriage, greatly reducing my stress and drama (eventually).
Then sold our house for a fairly decent small profit, even after splitting it.
Then bought a new house for me and my dog at a ridiculously low rate.
And paid off the last of my car and student loans, so I'm now debt-free other than the house.

2020 was pretty stressful for the first half, but the last 3 months have been blissful, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Me too. I bought a bunch of cheap guns and ammo early in the year. Since my job is considered "essential", I worked more than usual for those caring for elderly relatives. I have no debt, and the lack of a social life drove me to work out far more, mostly walking with my wife. Improved health, improved marriage, more money, and less people to deal with. What's not to like?

Good job! While 2020 hasn't been the best in some respects, since I started working at home I've converted my hour-long commute into walking time. I'm down 30 pounds since May.

Bad: I lost my job in April but was picked up by another group in the same division within a week. Also had some higher anxiety than normal so went to the doc and seem to be managing. Did lose an aunt to cancer.

Good: I have been able to knock out a lot of projects around the house that were way past due. Went on a vacation to Eureka Springs, AR, did NOT catch the Cooties, but did catch another bug... so I decided to get my motorcycle license after being jealous of all the guys on their bikes. Bought another rental house, hired the roof re-shingled on my other one. Also went to Kansas City, no Cooties there either. Now, my new group may hire me direct, instead of contract.

I have had it pretty good relatively speaking.

I was fortunate enough to only have to work 40hrs. @ week instead of 50.
I downsized some of my collection for +$ and picked up a couple of deals.
I have had a decent year except for the obstacles imposed by the Government.
I'm looking forward to retiring in the Spring and moving back out West. I've got the $ ready !

We welcomed our first child in June, and my wife and I have both been working from home since March. Blessed to be home every day with my daughter.

See if you say that when she's 2 Smile Ask me how I know. Technically, I have to get permission to go into the office, shhh, I'm the only one here.

There should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now?

I am thankful that my family is making it through this situation with only minor difficulties. I've been stepping up my efforts to assist those around me who have been struggling. The other day I was talking with a neighbor who was not going to buy firewood this season due to a tight budget. I asked him how much he needed and he said 2 face cords. Told him I knew a guy. Smile

The next day I delivered and stacked two truckloads of seasoned ash and oak for him. He wanted to give me money; I refused. He gave me several jars of his wife's homemade sauce and a few more of pickles. Those I accepted!
