de Leon is the Number 1 opponent of gun owners in CA. He has authored almost a dozen bills in recent years, many have been put into place. He is winning his battle.

It amuses me when I hear folks stating that CA will become a red state because folks, like in the last Presidential election, are getting fed up. When in fact, quite the opposite is happening; CA is becoming more leftist by the day. There will be a more leftist governor than Jerry Brown next year. CA is determined to be the most commie state in the country.

This "jungle primary" is part of the rigged game of CA politics, designed to shut out Republican candidates, and taking on the top two Democrats for the general election. But I'm told CA will be red anyday now, jut wait and see.

In a primary election, the two top vote getters, regardless of party, get to go to the general. This seems to be a recent development (I left in 2003). This is how they got the left of Mao Kamala Harris elected senator over the slightly less left Loretta Sanchez. Roll Eyes Mad

^^^^^^

The most likely race for Governor will be Newsom vs Villagarosa, both Democrat commies.

I think all of the above are accurate assessments of the political climate and direction of CA. When the CA socialist culture hits the inevitable economic wall, the "entitled" socialists here will become more demanding and more violent, which will only make matters worse.

Venezuela, here we come.

And as with all commies, they and their ilk will live very well, while the masses will suffer.

Yes, Democrats.

Let the Butthurt flow through you.

Yes...

Continue your tradition of snatching defeat from victory.

Arc.

At least with the upcoming Supreme Court pick, as well as the packing of the lower courts, we have a chance to fight these laws off permanently.

I was on a return flight from LAX with Gov Moonbeam Brown and then deLeon boards soon after. Silently I prayed for the plane to crash as my small sacrifice to save the state from Commie rule.

Sadly, my prayer went unanswered.

You missed a memo. The election is Newsom vs Cox, a Republican. The end result will likely remain unchanged but at least we can hope for a few months. I believe it is the best chance we’ve had in recent memory to get a Republican back in office here, even if it is very remote. If it doesn’t happen this year, it will in 4 more

And hopefully an R on the ballot for Governor will help the overall conservative turnout for a midterm in CommieFornia.

I'm kinda hoping for D complacency (a perennial problem for CA dems). I'm also kinda wondering whether the jungle primary system might have induced a bit of burnout among the donkeys as well. The pissing matches between Newsom and Villaraigosa on one hand and the CA Democratic party and Dianne Feinstein on the other were as dirty and nakedly hostile as they were unedifying, so it would come as no surprise to learn that they were a bit exhausting as well.

This. Combined with a base of Republicans fired up from all the winning nationally and the recent sting of the new AWB expansion is why I say it is our best chance (not good chance) in recent history.

Hopefully many of the loons here won’t remember the lessons they should have learned in Nov 2016 regarding media predictions and polling.

I thought that was the Republicans job.

This lurch to the far Left by the Democrats as a reaction to Trump is something to marvel at.

They don't seem to realize what an ass-whipping is coming for them!
