Good morning everyone!
My 30+ year old Maytag washer is on its last leg and given my better half's propensity to man-handle things, I am not sure that it is going to make it to year's end.

I have looked at a couple of Speed Queen washers particularly the TC5003WN. My in-laws have had the Speed Queen AWN542S going on 15+ years. Unfortunately, though, this washer has been discontinued. We have had SQ dryer for a long time and enjoy the build quality and reliability so if there are better options, your opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I just bought the Speed Queen washer and dryer, YC5 and DC5. I have no complaints.

If you are willing to make the investment, SQ is worth the money.

I will share with you though we have been told by our distributor that there will be no Classics (TC models) available for delivery until Q1 2027.

Thanks for that Brad. Guess if you want to buy now, you're hoping for someone having them in stock

Just yesterday we purchased a TC5003 from AllSouth Appliance here in BHM but they have to ship it from their Chattanooga branch as they have been out of stock locally for a few months.

Hopefully this is the last washer I have to buy for another 20 years.

Hey, I'm just up the road from you in Trussville; we moved up here 4 years ago due to a job change. Is this AllSouth Appliance a good place - sales AND service? Asking for future (maybe short term, maybe long term) needs.

Thanks.

Afternoon 863!
We have used them for several appliance purchases over the past 23 years. It has probably been 5 years since I last purchased from them (less this recent Speed Queen). They have a pretty wide range of products and prices, and we have been very satisfied with them. They are over on the west side of Homewood off of Lakeshore Parkway.

As far as their service goes though, they have been subbing some of their work out. We have yet to need service though as I have performed most of the repairs / replacements myself.

On another note, if you are looking for a great gun club, I have been a member at Brock's Gap for over 18 years and love it. About two years ago we moved from Hoover out toward the Cooke Springs area. It's probably a 25-30 minute drive from Trussville but so is the CMP range in Talladega. Both are great places. If you are ever interested, please reach out as we are always adding new members.
