Sometimes they're a bit unavoidable. E.g.: The holster and mag carrier I just ordered. That's the only way the guy accepts payment. Oh, I'm sure I could have mailed him a check, thus adding up to a week to the order--if he ever actually received it, and then forcing him to make a bank trip. It sucks. I wish payment processing companies would just process payments and quit with the SJW'ing. It isn't just PayPal, it's all the major credit cards, too. E.g.: Gab. I'm a paid subscriber. Not because I actually use it, but because their mere existence annoys the SJWs. But I have to send them a check. No CC or CC processor will service them.
"ADL" is a pretty damn well-known acronym. I can see the complaint about little-used, obscure, profession- or industry-specific acronyms, but ADL? "America is at that awkward stage. Just take it easy. I recognized the acronym immediately and even if I didn't, the subject line is sufficiently clear to give you an idea of the nature of the subject. The ADL is called "The ADL" more often than it is called by its full name. If you want to advise a member, do it politely, or don't bother. And, oh, PayPal? Yeah, there's been some guy (I can't recall his name at the moment) who has been saying in this forum for close to twenty years that we should avoid PayPal like the plague. I guess some people just need to catch up. (cue the posts about how convenient is PayPal, so that's why they continue to patronize a business which hates gun owners)

I've had a few on-line shopping experiences where I get to the "Pay" page and the only option is Pay Pal. I back out. There is nothing on this planet I need or want bad enough to deal with their bullshit. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Come on, now. It's a long list, but how many on here will read the thread title and immediately think of anything other than Anti-Defamation League? Q

Yup. The ADL, which once-upon-a-time was pretty careful about branding people or organizations with the scarlet E, appears to have become as careless as the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center), the latter of which, I'd argue, is an extremist organization in its own right. As such: I no longer pay the ADL's proclamations any more heed than I do of those of the SPLC--which is to say "none."

Last year I started using my Credit Union to pay my usual monthly bills. No having to go buy stamps, go to the post office, payments getting lost in the mail, etc. I just log on, select who to pay, and how much, and when, and it's paid. Easy, quick, efficient, reliable. They just added ZELLE. I've not used it and am not familiar with it, but I trust my Credit Union. Has anyone used ZELLE? Just curious, thanks. .

I have used Zelle quite a few times. I have no idea what their social justice standing is, or stance on the 2A, nor have I looked, but it's worked simply for me in those transactions.

Zelle is terrific. The banks' answer to Paypal and Venmo (also owned by Paypal). Both the sender and recipient need to be with Zelle-participant banks but thats a huge number of banks (500?) and growing as it turns out. Be careful who you send to and that the recipient is correct as I heard about a guy that Zelled money to the wrong phone number (which is how you ID the recipient) and never was able to get the money back. But you can add a recipient and then have that recipient request money from you. A little more certain about who you are dealing with.

Unless you want to hook yourself up with a CC processor: There are none--short of cash, dead tree material checks, or money orders. Therein lies the problem: PayPal is essentially one-of-a-kind, so they can get away with this kind of behavior. For my part: There have been times I've chosen to pay via PayPal because it was the easier, more convenient option. Going forward: PayPal will be my payment method of last resort just as Amazon has become my vendor of last resort. "America is at that awkward stage. Zelle is a collaborative digital platform owned by Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo. Banks generally take a more reserved position on social issues, that said, we're living in bizarro world where every company has to put out a policy statement or, reaction. Square is another platform that many small business' like using. They are however anti-2A and Jack Dorsey is one of the founders/owners With PayPal & Square being more forceful in their refusing to do business with certain industries, and the Obama admin's attempt at Operation Chokepoint, seeing these large institutions practice aggressive financial discrimination may be around the corner.

Just a quick correction here - only one party needs to be set up on Zelle. The other party just needs a US bank account. https://www.zellepay.com/suppo...-money-to-with-zelle “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” - John Adams

However, in that case the sender must share with Zelle their debit card access. "America is at that awkward stage.
