I too believe that posting about this topic will be completely ignored and will not accomplish diddley-doo. Nonetheless, I recommend reading the book 'The Cousin's Wars' by Kevin Phillips. He ties together the English Civil War, the American Revolution, and the American Civil War as a continuity. You can hate them, but Cromwell and the Founding Fathets and Lincoln did much to establish modernity. "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye".
