My old dashcam was a Street Guardian as it was a dashcamtalk.com recommended product. It served me well for 3 years and not that I needed it they have reportedly the best dash cam customer service.
Speaking of dashcamtalk.com, their 2019 recommended list is here. The model you linked is not on their recommended list and frankly it's only $3 less than the recommended dual camera Viofo 129 I upgraded to last fall. I have a Street Guardian and Viofo A119S. The Street Guardian records in .mov which requires an extra step on my android phone to edit. I don't like with one in my F350. The hood is too long and the truck is too high to get good license plates of passing cars. Both work great in my Focus ST.
High endurance micro SD design for video is definitely recommended.

For what it's worth I use a Garmin GPS (nuviCam LMTHD 6") that not only has a dash camera that constantly records but can also connect to a backup camera that comes on automatically when you go into reverse. Has a 6" display and will save a three minute video if you hit a bump (have a wreck) or push a button... 1.5 minutes before and the same after the event.

Nowadays I always park in the garage and it's most always locked but, what if it's ripped off in a public parking lot like for example a park or something? I also understand that some have the capability to send an alert to you phone I guess much like RING doorbell feature but you may not be able to get to your vehicle in time to stop the theft. Yes, I do have insurance coverage for theft but I hate vehicle break-ins and/or theft.
Some models will upload to the cloud close to real time but you have to have a live wifi connection. My truck has a wifi hotspot but it shuts off when I turn the truck off. I use a Verizon Myfy hotspot (little round battery powered hotspot) when i want to make sure it is uploading to the cloud. For 95% of my driving I record only to the flash card. Also uploading 4K video from 2 cameras would eat bandwidth pretty fast and could get expensive.

Guys. Thanks for this thread and the recommendations. Today I installed my first dash cam and I went with the VIOFO A119S. I also purchased the direct wire kit and with the camera and the kit I am into this set up $88.00.....
Also ordered the Transcend micro SD card recommended by you guys and it will be here Tuesday....Direct wire install took about 45 minutes...Cannot wait to give this “new to me” electronic device a try.....Thanks Again...Mark

My a119 gets it from GPS....
Make sure your firmware is updated when updates are available. Some have good features.

I installed a Garmin 55 this week. So far it’s good. They have a new 56 but I’m not a big believer in the concept of newer is better.

I just upgraded my $50 amazon cam for a good one. I also opted for a battery (Cellink Neo) which is hardwired, this allows it to capture video while parked. The install was easy, the cameras are small, video quality good and I like the app. It was a bit pricey but I figure it may pay off if I’m ever hit. My deductible is $500 so I figure it could save me that some day.
Has anyone found one that has just the camera up on the window? I don't mind running a cable in the molding, but I'd like the electronics and power down below and I like keeping the camera unit as invisible as possible.
