...here in South East Tennessee Smile...

Sitting on the back porch drinking a cup of coffee...66 degrees, partly sunny with a nice breeze. Someone in the neighborhood is frying bacon with their window open...

Quite a few trees are really popping out...

I know winter is not over, but a morning such as this brings pleasant expectations of Spring...I will enjoy it while it's here Razz

I'm envious.

Minnesota has only two seasons:

-Winter is coming.
-Winter is here.

Enjoy your climate, and send warm thoughts to your neighbors to the north.

I CANT WAIT TO SOME DAY GET OUT OF CENTRAL Florida and to my property in North east Tennessee. The mountains up there are beautiful. I love the area. It is so peaceful and the people are nice and friendly. I just wish there were more jobs in the area. I would move in a heart beat.
My wife commutes to south Orlando from our home in Polk County than back home on a road I call "The parking lot known as I4".
When we moved here 19 years ago it was a nice quiet are. No more.
Last time we were in Tennessee Rush hour was 12 cars on the road in front of us.
I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

We had a really nice little bit of freezing drizzle, last night, that left about 1/8 inch of glorious glaze on everything. Truly beautiful. I’m trying not to get too excited, but we’re supposed to get more this afternoon.
I can hardly wait.

On the bright side it's only been cold enough maybe 4-5 days this "winter" for me to have to wear pants instead of shorts. Big Grin

I tried to sell the wife on the idea of moving to the Nashville area but she wasn't having any of it.

Here on the very SE Florida tip it's a slimy 82º with 87% humidity and fast moving showers. Since I live very close to the water at least there's most always a breeze but it can get very balmy. Two saving graces, a pool and good a/c, otherwise I'm not a huge fan and would love to get up to at least the very north end of the state or NE Georgia like the Helen area. The likelihood of either is probably very slim but one can still dream Smile

We got what looks like a few inches of snow overnight. I love winter, but come on, enough is enough. In places where snow removal is A Thing, and the ditches aren't loaded with cars after a dusting, this wouldn't bother me.

Sounds fantastic. Those temperate mornings in Spring and Fall are true gems.
Similar except for the smells and I'd be hard pressed to select a favorite.

Yesterday was beautiful in NoVA as well.

In the park behind my house there is a low area that stays fairly wet. We call it the "swamp" for some strange reason. The last few nights the peepers have been going strong. I only speak rudimentary peeper, but it sound like "hey baby, wanna make a tadpole?" Surest sign of Spring coming soon I know of around here. Winter has lasted way too long!

The wife and I are still undecided on whether to move/retire to the Fairview/Burns area or the Eastern TN/ Dandridge area. The prices for homes/property are unreal compared to this God forsaken state.
We love TN but I find it very annoying that people are so friendly, Geez!! Smile

Early this morning, Mrs. And I did a 3 mile walk on the beach here in Miramar Beach, Florida. Mostly 72° today and sunny. We then sat by the pool and read on our Kindles for an hour or two working on our tans.

We have 3 outside cameras on our Montana home and laugh at the huge snowdrifts.

Retirement is soooo good.

Woke up to 4" of snow here. Of course it was mostly melted by noon. But there are loads of people here who freak out at such events.

Cheers~
