Weber. I've had two NG Webers. The first I converted from propane to NG with a kit Weber used to sell. For liability reasons they don't sell these kits or conversion parts any longer. You can drill the orifice on a propane unit to make it work on NG but that is hit or miss. Buy a grill set up for NG.

I never noticed much difference in heat from NG. I can get 800 - 850 degrees with lid closed for about 15 minutes and can't remember a propane unit getting much hotter.

So much more convenient then propane tanks. If you grill a lot as we do, this is a worth while option even if you have to pay a bit to have a connection run to where you want your grill to be.

In my search for a new grill I am choosing between Weber and Napolean ----looks like I'm going Napolean:

https://allamericanreviews.com/weber-grills/

Verdict: Are Weber Grills Made in the USA?

Although Weber is headquartered in the U.S. and has their primary manufacturing facilities in Palatine and Huntley, Illinois, they can no longer claim to be made in the USA for many of their products because they have some components of their grills that are imported.

The fallout came in 2012 when Weber had a class action lawsuit brought against them about their “Made in the USA” stamp on all of their products. All of their engineering and grill assembly is done in their Illinois facilities, but since a small percentage of their grill components are imported from other countries, many consumers felt like they were being mislead with the “Made in the USA” label. Weber ended up settling on the case in order to avoid further litigation costs on both sides.

Unfortunately, it seems like Weber is moving even more international with their newer models. For example, 2016 was the last year that the Weber Genesis grills could say “Made in the United States of America with globally sourced parts and components.” Now, the newer models are made in China.

In 2010 I bought a Weber Genesis that I was told was made in USA

It lasted about 9 years until I moved to NC and gave it to a neighbor.

Looking again at grills, and finding out the Genesis series likely was never actually "Made in USA" or and now Genesis II are marked as made in China, I did some research an bought a definitely made in China Monument Grill from Home Depot (they dont stock them but they can be ordered). It was 1/3 the price of a Weber and seems of fairly good quality.

To buy a for sure Weber Made in USA grill you need to pay at least $2,000.

I wish BBQguys had mfg location as a search option (love that BladeHQ does that...)

Unfortunately, only their Prestige and Prestige Pro lines qualify for "Made in Ontario" which according to the Support Ontario Made website: "*Note: Qualifying manufactured goods are those that have undergone their last substantial transformation in the province of Ontario. This does not necessarily mean these goods qualify for under “Made in Canada” labeling requirements as determined by the Competition Bureau of Canada."

I'd call them and ask them specifically where the parts are made and where assembly is completed. They don't list any of that information on their website for a reason.

Genesis 330 LP, lasted 7 years or so, one of the front doors just fell off, the lower pin assembly rusted through, the other door is doing the same.

Grill has a weber cover, but we have a lot of moisture here, it's kept on a patio, not indoors but covered. Will have to call Weber Monday to see if the 10 year warranty covers anything.

Appears the left and right panels would need replaced, at $209 each. If so, it hits the street corner...

Had a Webber for about 7 years. Was the Spirit. Hated it. Could not keep it from flaring up. Bought a Napoleon Rogue about 2 months ago and love it. I have a very larger family and grill at least 3 times a week.

As I hear it - the Webers pre-2012 are far superior in quality to those made now!

Weber is the Glock of the grilling world. You can never go wrong with one and they’ll always work.

I’m a big fan of the Weber Q series gas grills, the Weber Q3200 comes in a NG version:
