BAck in the day, the lifters wore something similar to a wrestling singlet. I'm watching these guys today and it looks like they're wearingg a sort of supersuit, like the powerlifters do. Can someone clue me in? Thank you. _____________________________ "A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." I’m pretty sure it just a normal singlet. I don’t think the suit can contribute to the lift. It does seem like most of today’s lifters wear a tshirt under the singlet. I’m looking forward to watching CJ Cummings, Mattie Rodgers , Harrison Maurus represent the USA. Also can’t wait to see what Lasha Talakhadze does. I’m hoping he goes for a 500 kg total. ____________________ I Like Guns and stuff

I asked one of my neighbors, a Russian emigre, who is very involved in a local Olympic Weightlifting club. He confirmed that unlike competetive powerlifters, Olympic weightlifters are not allowed to wear special suits like powerlifters do. The suits they wear in the Olympic competetion are siots which have some spandex material which makes the lifters get a skin tight suit. If you think you can, YOU WILL!!!!!
