H&K-GuyThe SIGforum Rorschach Test, Star Trek, Your Identity, ‘N’ Stuff.
The Rorschach test is a psychological test in which subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both. Some psychologists use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning.
The control set, or inkblots one identifies with, is not really transferable to a Message Board. So let’s use something a little more transparent.
Star Trek Characters can be used as a control set, rather than random pictographs, or inkblots. In a reflection of how one perceives self, identity is revealed through association of character.
Alright, enough with this psycho-babble mumbo-jumbo crap.
So, what Star Trek Character do you see yourself as?
Some possibilities include characters from:
ST TOS
ST TNG
ST Voyager (OK, yeah, I know)
ST DS9
ST Enterprise
ST Discovery
ST Picard
I’ll go first. I see myself as Harry Kim. I started out on the straight and narrow, but I get messed up at times in my life. Chicks mess with my character, and so do difficult life altering decisions. I try to do what I think is right, but get ahead of myself at times.
What Star Trek Character do you identify most with?

DzozerDr. McCoy - because I'll be damned if I'll have my atoms scattered back and forth across space by some gadget! And I'm always talking to myself... huh.

YooperSigsI already am a Star trek character. Born that way actually. Shatner is late to the game.

sns3guppyScotty, apparently, because there is no situation in life where one couldn't use a little more power, and I'm already giving it all I've got.

bald1Tough choice. Those that immediately came to mind were Cmdr Chakotay and Lt Tom Paris along with Cmdr Trip Tucker. Some attributes from all three I can identify with.

Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club!

LastCubScoutCommander Sonak from
Star Trek 1: The Motion Picture.
Somewhat intelligent, somewhat emotionless, and will probably end up as a pile of slimy goop before any of the adventures start.

apprenticeUsed to want to be Scotty, and life did indeed take me down similar roads a couple times. James Doohan was a genuine bad ass btw, and I am not ever going to say I'm in a similar league.
Anymore though I think I'm most like Odo. Try to blend in, very private, and constantly amazed/disgusted with the idiocy of others around me.

frayedendsI really hate Commander Riker. But I’m him. I can be a dick but I always want what’s best.
These go to eleven.

egregoreBecause I'm often called and depended upon to solve problems, there's a lot of Scotty in me. For my love of coffee, a little bit of Capt. Janeway.

Sig2340Janeway, because in her situation I'm going to ignore the Prime Directive and every other Star Fleet regulation, lie to, cheat, and steal from every species I encounter, and generally shoot first and ask questions later in order to get my crew home.
I'd even rename
Voyager Queen Anne's Revenge.
