There's nothing like a new puppy.
Be sure to have a good crate for training and when your gone, and a supply of quality chew toys.
Both can save you a lot of money.

I really like chocolates and worked for a ranch owner who had an absolutely outstanding one.

Beautiful pup! Moses and LC say hi! (Mine are named for shotguns, John Moses Browning and LC [Elsie] Smith…) I’ve always had yellow ones, but have known many wonderful labs of all flavors (I’ve even seen an extremely rare Merle, mutant or chimera from full AKC registered litter. My dog’s trainer who had him said he’d only seen one other in person.)
Labs are, in my opinion, the archetypal dog. Loyal, friendly to all, adaptable to just about any job. While not leaning toward protection, my 1st lab was aggressive towards my father when he showed up at home late (3am), trying to come into the house in full camo from duck hunting. Wouldn’t back down or let him through the door till my Mom came. (And to hear my Dad tell it, tucked tail and whimpered when she was there and his toboggan and jacket were off and he recognized him, finally.)
Bottom line, I love the breed. I’ve had house dogs and gun dogs that were all labs. They’re awesome. Enjoy every minute, because they are so unfortunately fleeting.

You ain’t kidding, one of the first things we noticed is how big her paws are. I’m hoping she’s a bigger girl

Pretty much guaranteed!

Best regards,

Tom
