I’m looking for outside the waistband magazine pouch recommendations. I’ve always had the cheaper Blackhawk single magazine pouches, but I’m interested in upgrading to something a little more ruggedly constructed.

Looking for single mag pouch, double stack Glock 9mm magazines for use with a belt. Concealable style preferred.

I cannot remember for the life of me who made these? I've had them over a year and use them concealed and unconcealed. I beat on them (by running into things, I'm clumsy) and they've held up well. I think I got them on clearance from High Noon Holsters?? Can't be sure.
I have a set for my Glock 45 and 43X.

whoops, never mind, you said single.
For single I have been using Pitbull mag holders for a while. Only issue is sometimes my 43X mags come loose but my 45 mag never comes loose.

If I carry a mag OWB, which is rare these days, I use the G-Code GSM pouch. I like that it can be ordered with three different belt attachment methods, so you can use it IWB if you want.

Quite a compact package, overall, and rides close to the body. Closer, at least, than the Comptacs and T-Rex OWB carriers that I also have used.

he Galco QMC has always been my go to mag carrier. I like the index clip and the fact I don't have to thread a belt through it when putting it one.

My go to OWB mag pouch is a pancake style by Winthrop Leather. I put the belt loop of my jeans between the loops on the pouch, which helps to secure the pouch and keep it from sliding around on my belt.
But it looks like Covid killed their business, so no more from them. Frown 1791 Gunleather makes a similar type and is available on Amazon

I would recommend a look at the Milt Sparks S-4C. For me, single magazine OWB pouches don’t get any better.

https://www.miltsparks.com/products-s4c.php

There is also a thread or two on horizontal magazine holders going. I’d recommend the Magholder product if going that route. (Edited to add: member highroundcount already posted a link to an SF discussion on these above).

I have been using these lately, love the easy on clip but because the clip is so rounded I have had one come partially off my belt a couple times. I still like them, just have to keep an eye on them when I am getting in my car due to the wonderful seat bolsters.

for just a basic re: bulletproof type mag pouch I like Bladetech mag pouch with the bladetech belt clip.

I have 1 or 2 from RGrizzle and they are very nice and hold the mags very well and are slightly slimmer on the belt.

Of course there are others from Aker or Safariland that are perfectly serviceable but since I now normally wear only single pouches due to belt real-estate the above ones are my current go to

One note regarding 1791 Leather, I have a couple of their products and they are well put together but their double stack mag pouches are sized for Glock mags and are too big for Sig/Beretta/BHP mags. Their single stacks pouches can be stretched though...I have done this for my G48 mags and it has well out very well.

Yep. I've found that Comp-Tac's mag pouches are better for my thicker leather belts, while Kytex Gear's pouches are better for my thinner nylon belts.

The Comp-Tac ones have a bigger belt clip that slides off the nylon belts too easily. The Kytex ones have a thinner belt clip that gets too stretched out by thick leather gun belts.

That's why I use both.
