Wildfire or no, this is embarrassing behavior from the male of the species. Women have baby showers. TTBOMK, there is no analog for this in the male of the species. This is embarrassing behavior. The only difference is that the guy started a wildfire and now realizes he should be embarrassed.

Men should not behave this way. If you're going to have a child, you should love it, care for it, protect it and provide for it regardless of the child's gender. "Gender reveal parties" imply that there is some preference for the sex of the child. Think about it. If that were not the case, what would it matter, as long as the child is healthy?
