“A top House Republican doubts the Justice Department will allow the release of any report from special counsel John Durham. Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, said Attorney General Merrick Garland "seems to be kind of a puppet for the Left." The "challenge," he added, is whether Garland will "bury the report." … https://www.google.com/amp/s/n...pting-180200780.html Serious about crackers

It’s ridiculous that the report wasn’t finalized and released prior to the election, and that was nine months ago. When you speak of “The Swamp,” this is exactly the sort of thing we’re talking about. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Some prosecutions would help. Garland can’t suppress prosecutions, although he would likely not support them. Serious about crackers

As I said immediately above, some prosecutions will help. (I.e., help thwart the Dem attempt to bury the Durham report.) “Special counsel John Durham, appointed during the Trump administration to investigate possible wrongdoing at the FBI and other agencies dating to the 2016 election, is preparing to seek the indictment of an attorney whose firm has close ties to Democrats, according to two people familiar with the matter. These two people, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the sensitive political investigation, said Wednesday that the lawyer, Michael Sussmann, is bracing for the possibility he will be charged with lying to the FBI in September 2016, when he raised concerns about possible ties between a Russia-based bank and a computer server at one of former president Donald Trump’s companies…” https://www.washingtonpost.com...cb895922f_story.html Serious about crackers

A snippet from a “New York Post” article that suggests Sussmann was working for the Clinton campaign, despite his statement to the FBI that he wasn’t: “… Durham uncovered billing records from Perkins Coie that show Sussmann billed the Clinton campaign when he was working on matters involving Alfa Bank, the Times reported. He did not bill the campaign for the meeting with Baker, the report said. Sussmann’s lawyers argued that the billing records are “misleading” because Sussmann was not charging his cybersecurity expert client on the bank matter, “but needed to show internally that he was working on something,” the Times wrote.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/n...in-russia-probe/amp/ And yes, Sussmann is bait to catch bigger fish. Jonathon Turley in Fox News “In Washington, there is no greater indication of wrongdoing than the number of people denouncing efforts to investigate it. The "nothing to see here" crowd went into hyperventilation last week when Special Counsel John Durham indicted a former Clinton campaign lawyer, Michael Sussmann. Legal experts who spent years validating every possible criminal charge against Donald Trump and his associates are now insisting that Durham needs to end his investigation. The Washington Post heaped ridicule on Durham despite an indictment detailing an effort to hide the connection of the Clinton campaign and a concerted effort to push false Russian collusion claims. ……… I have been writing about the expected pushback to end Durham's investigation and particularly oppose the release of his report. Right on cue, the Post responded with a bizarre editorial that suggested Durham should just stop immediately…” https://www.google.com/amp/s/w...-jonathan-turley.amp Much more in the article… Serious about crackers
