sig2392I would be surprised if she gets canceled.
Newton is a place where 90K people and 50% have graduate degrees and 30% have a bachelor degree.
Not enough minorities in that town to get offended. Unless they are busing them in.
It is always ranked in the top 10 schools district in the state in graduation rates and test scores.
A lot of town ranking has it one of the best places to live in the country.
She will be counseled unless her student's test scores drop no one will care.

Indeed.
I cannot imagine being so abysmally unaware of current mores in this country they'd even entertain such an idea, much less go forward with it

Flash-LBHaving personally known 3 friend's wives who were schoolteachers, having lived next door to one for 7 years and after shooting with a retired teacher/assistant principal whose wife is a retired teacher for the last 9 years or so, this doesn't surprise me in the least.
As the old saying goes, those can can, do, those who can't teach and those who can neither do nor teach administrate.

Intelligence doesn't necessarily correlate to common sense. Sometimes it even seems an inverse relationship

E.g.: It was "intelligence" that gave us both "corporal punishment permanently damages childrens' psyches" and "children must be rewarded, irrespective of ability or accomplishment" that got us today's maladjusted, damaged children--entirely unprepared for Real Life.
I and my age-related cohort managed to survive both. No worse for the wear and, near as I've been able to tell, a damn sight happier.

Lefty SigSo is she a racist? Or is she so woke she thought "making white children know what it is like to be black" was a good lesson?
This is kind of like the Universities that have started segregating dorms by race. They fought against "separate but equal" and demanded integration, only to revert to "separate is more equal" and embrace segregation again.

Even the Army did this to a degree when I was in.
