As many of you know here, I am a fan of Lake Michigan Summer vacations.

I came across this today. So bummed I am unable to make this trip. The price seems very reasonable, IMO.

Has anyone take a trip similar to this?

Cheer up! Its a cool trip, but come up to the Yoop instead:
Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum
Crisp Point Lighthouse. ( The drive is killer).
Seul Choix Lighthouse. (Pronounced Shay Shwa)
Marquette Lighthouse.
Big Bay Lighthouse.
Grand Island Lighthouse (You need a boat)
Eagle Harbor Lighthouse
Stannard Rock Lighthouse (Also boat only)
Probably cheaper too!

UP is nice but there's a lot before the bridge.
You can do the M22 loop and see a lot including Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Glen Arbor is very nice also. Lots of wineries to stop at and taste.
Ludington has some B&B's and it's a nice town.
You could plan a trip and hit Founder's brewery too.
