The area gas and electric provider warned a few months ago to expect gas bills two or three times higher than last winter. I finished some minor insulation projects and now we'll see.

I wonder how high gas needs to get before pure electric for a water heater and furnace is a better option. If that's the case, the ROI for solar may look good as well.

I can't believe the president. He has a highly paid expert on such matters in the family, yet isn't taking advantage of this resource.

I yield to no man on Sigforum in my thriftiness. I purchased a tank top off and 1000 gallons of propane on account for $1.69 a gallon to be delivered by March 31. My propane guy tops off my tank late in March. I am in Southwest Illinois near St Louis. I wasn't offered the two year deal or I would have bought more. I have no idea what next season's price will be.
