DefPaulLoading magazine for Sig P365 X Macro
@ 85 years young I know I have lost some strength but even with my UpLula I cannot get the 17th round in the magazine. I am leaving the 16 in in hopes the spring might loosen but so far (3 days) no go.

Rey HRHI don’t think leaving the magazine filled with 16 and keeping it there will loosen it soon enough. If anything, repeated loading and unloading may loosen the spring but it could take a while. On the other hand, that might also increase your muscle strength.
If it were me, I’d just be happy with 16 and be done with it. Something about what Clint Eastwood said. “A man’s got to know his limitations.”

arfmelThey are difficult to fully load even for a younger man. I carry mine with 15 in the magazine.

nhtagmemberThat’s nit going to change the property of the spring. It’s the number of cycles loading to the clash limit and then unloading that over time will change the spring.
Even leaving it loaded for a year is not going to modify it noticeably.

trapper189My 86yo father just bought one of those, but hasn't tried loading the mags yet. I'll check them out tomorrow.
What I do know is the mags that came with the two Berettas and the S&W I just bought were all a pain in the thumbs to load. Six in total, the Beretta mags are double stack, while the S&W mags are a single stack. As an example, I was struggling to get the 4th round in on the 7 round S&W mag.
After trying to load them, I unloaded them. Each mag's follower seemed to bind a bit when I pushed on it. I disassembled all the mags and put a very light coat of oil on the springs, followers, and the inside and outside of the mag bodies. It worked. A dry lube would be better, but I used what I had on hand. By very light, I mean a drop of oil between my thumb and index finger and running the spring between them, then another drop for the follower and inside of the mag body.

sjtillHere's what y'all need, take it from another geezer:
Speed Beez mag loader for P365 9mmThey say it works for all 9mm version of the 365. The Uplula doesn't work for me, this does.

Thanks for the recommendation!
I’ve never been able to put the last round in and this looks like it will do the trick.

trapper189I checked my dad's mags today and the last couple rounds I had to use the loader that came with the gun. I then lubed his mags like I did mine and was able to load all 17 rounds without the loader.
