Looking for website hosting service with email?

sig229-SASLooking for website hosting service with email?
I have been with GoDaddy for quite a few years but I'm really getting tired of the price hikes as well as changes in some of their services.
Last year or so they stopped offering free email with a domain purchase. Although I don't really mind paying for that it is from Microsoft Office and it now cost almost $80 a year.
I think they have about pushed me to point of breaking away from them and going somewhere else. The new provider should have some type of website builder for a few pages and free or very reasonable email.
What say you ?

I used it. Domains are cheap. Service is just fine. Used them for years.

I have the option of POP3 or IMAP, I keep it at POP3, I don't like a overflowing email inbox especially when I travel. I like to delete from my iPad and have the email still sitting on my McBook when I get back. Don't remember the storage limits but I keep it cleaned out pretty well.

smschulzThe reason I ask about your current situation is that not everyone has the same requirements.
$375 for two domains / web hosting and minimal email (depending on what the limitations are) is not an unreasonable price.
However, it is best for you to do your own research (saying it in a nice way) so you can get what you actually need.
Compare whatever facet is incomplete for you.
Price isn't everything.
I have used total packages from companies for clients as well as individual al a carte products to fit their particular hosting or email needs.

Then sounds like any basic program would work for you.
Generally POP3 configurations are a nightmare for synchronization but it has an advantage with storage limits.
IMAP is the generally accepted method with multiple devices (phone, tablet, laptop,Desktop).
However Microsoft Online or O365 is a far better product but it may be more than you need.
Every Registrar has a turn key product with all (WWW, Email, DNS etc) Go Daddy, Network Solutions and a bunch of others.
Check out their packages.

I wouldn't use Namecheap on a bet. Spammers just love their DNS service. I got so much spam from spammers using Namecheap for DNS, and never any
legitimate email from people using them, that for a while I was blocking email based on the sender using Namecheap DNS servers.

Thats part of my issue, I don't need the hoursepower of MS-O or Outlook, a simple email app is fine with me. GoDaddy charges $79.88 per year for Outlook.

To each their own, but when I discovered IMAP I made the switch and never looked back. Not having the
exact same email on
all my devices would drive me batty

henryaz InMotion Hosting works well. I just switched over to them from GoDaddy. Cheaper as well. My local gun club started using them a few years ago is how I came across them.
