Nine-Month Pregnant Woman Turns Tables On Armed Thief, Shoots Him And Holds Him Until Cops Arrive

A man was shot by a nine-month-pregnant woman and her husband after he tried to rob them and threatened to kill them in Houston. (See Video Below)

The woman said she parked in front of the All Season Food Store, where her husband works, to deliver food for her him. Two armed men were inside a silver SUV parked nearby waiting for an opportunity.

“I got out of my car, and immediately, the guy in the passenger seat of the silver car got out with an AR and told me that I startled him. You know, he said it in a more vocal way,” the woman said

“No, they were not taking out my baby daddy before July 11,” the woman added.

The woman called her husband, who came outside.

The husband said the man, 39-year-old Mario Duque who has been arrested, repeatedly asked him, “Do you want to die tonight?”

“Thank God we had our guns. I’ve never been happier to be a gun carrier,” the woman said.

After shooting him, the couple held Duque at gunpoint until medical attention arrived.

“A bystander told him, ‘Hey man, if you think you’re dying, you might as well pray to God for forgiveness,’” the husband said.

Duque is a convicted felon.

He remains hospitalized.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

According to The New York Post:

One of the suspects was shot multiple times and the other fled in a green Dodge Charger.

Neither the husband or wife were injured.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the couple, who had called 911, holding the wounded suspect at gunpoint.

That has to be one of the most poorly written “news articles” I’ve read in a long time. That my my brain hurt.

The link above does not mention the AR, but how often does a common street thug use an AR in a robbery??

Don't ever mess with a pregnant woman who has a gun, they are going to protect that child no matter what, surprised perp guy got close enough to swing at her baby daddy, things happen quickly though...

Glad she had the composure and understanding to do what she did. Never mess with a mama bear and her cub.

The guy in the car had a non braced AR pistol. Glad to see he is a law abiding citizen.

Bad guy chose the wrong victims to try and rob.. He was playing a stupid game and won a stupid prize. Hopefully his other partner gets smart and turns himself in to the police. ...... But we all know that most criminals are not the smartest tool in the tool box... drill sgt.
