^^^^ Early 80’s when GM first introduced the CCC “Computerized Command Control” system there were field reports of ECM’s leaking coolant(!) and no signs of heater core leakage. The culprit was determined to be the ECM’s coolant temperature sensor. Coolant was leaking from the sensor between the plastic body and the metal body that screwed into the cylinder head or intake manifold. The low current flow was pulling the coolant back and into the ECM. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. I would have it inspected and if anything was needing attention, replace it as needed. Keep in mind that if it has a timing belt, it will be kinda spendy to replace, but cost a lot more if you don't. If it has a timing chain, you should be fine.
107,000 miles? I hope not. I would have been out of luck many years ago. | |||
