My oldest has been asking for a long time for a cat.
Finally gave in & brought home these 2 5wk old boys.
Shockingly, our 50lb Border/Dalmatian mix acclimated to them much quicker than she does to most dogs.

Tentatively: Atlas [solid gray] & Otto [striped]

When it comes to play time, two are better than one. They'll wear each other out.

We initially brought just the solid gray one home.
Our dog got along so well with it, we went back to get the 2nd.
Took the striped one a bit longer. He hissed/spit at the dog a few times, then was running around playing with her about 20 min or so.

There's nothing cuter than kittens! Be sure to post some of their antics occasionally in the "enough with the cat pictures" thread. Smile

IME, when you get kittens from the same litter they stay kittens longer. They really enjoy playing together and really egg each other on.

Cute, I wish we had two so they could play together. We did just tonight fully introduce our kitty to our dog Remy successfully and she wore her self out trying bum rushing him then running away. He was just mildly curious / amused.

Nope.

You are cat 'staff' now.

As Tac alluded to …
Dogs have masters, cats have staff.
You’re staff.

And yes, having two will provide years of quality entertainment.

Enjoy.

I became a cat owner my daughter's senior year of college.
The birth announcement was the charge on my credit card for adoption/fixing/shots.

Thankfully she has maintained custodial duties....

Also, name update, Atlas is now Arlo. We'll see if that sticks, seems to suit him better.

I have a small stature (110 pounds) female friend who adopted two tiny kittens from the local shelter.

Joey topped out at 25 pounds.

Jake was 29 pounds.

Her kittens ended up roughly half her body weight.

Eek
Maine Coons?

The people we got these 2 from had a male [around 2yo] from a prior litter of the same mother. He was dark gray like Arlo & about average housecat sized.
