I've long been a fan of the Grand Cherokee series. I currently have a 4x2 v6 Summit model that has been a fantastic car. I wasn't aware that they introduced a plug-in hybrid version and was intrigued. Most of my driving is short trips around town, with a 2-3 trips per year across the state to see my dad (300 miles round trip) with maybe 5K miles per year on the car. The 4xE seems like it might be a good option for me.

Curious if any of our members have one and what they think of it.

My daughter has had one for about 4-5 months.
She's not that happy with it. I don't remember the specifics, but she said she will go back to the ICE version when the lease is up.

Don't recall the review I read, but it was on the gas engine Grand Cherokee. The reviewer stated it was the answer to a question nobody asked.

Tread carefully and do a lot of research. The 4xe models seem to be having a ton of issues.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

I just returned one as a rental after three days. The ride was fine for what I needed and I didn’t pay attention to fuel economy.

The hybrid mode at start up was finicky and the AC was weak at the start.

I didn’t charge it and only used the ICE.

It was fine but not remarkable.

I have a 2024 Grand Cherokee with the regular V-6. I know you’re not asking about this model but just wanted to let you know that the V-6 has plenty of power and gets great gas mileage. Granted most of my driving is freeway, but I routinely get 24-25mpg every tank. Over 500 miles per fill up is sure nice as well. I absolutely love my Grand Cherokee.
