My 93 yo folks are moving into a senior complex and selling their home. My kid sister is trying to help out with paperwork to get my WWII stepdad VA "aid and attendance" funding which would go towards their apartment rent. She's indicating that finding and putting together all the forms and supporting documents is a royal PITA. Originally she thought they (Patriot Angels) would be doing the bulk of the grunt work. Oh, and for those who would wonder, they're all back east, I'm fighting C and can't travel or I'd be in the thick of things. Do not know about that group. I do know that the local congressman's office can be a tremendous help. Every one of them has a specialist in Veterans Affairs and can point you in the right direction. Those representatives that have been around awhile have lots of contacts.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Googled them. They are a organization that helps you navigate the VA and other paperwork, they don't pay anything themselves. They have a AAA rating with the BBB but if you read some other feedback reports from users, they seem to have mixed results. As suggested, I would call my congressman's office first. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

Have her check with the local VFW. They often have people to help getting through the red tape. Rod "Do not approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction." John Deacon, Author I asked myself if I was crazy, and we all said no.
