chbibcGood Morning!
Good morning and happy 1 Feb. This is the view from the kitchen as I drink my coffee. 5 minutes later the snows moved in. 14 degrees.

tatortoddBeautiful, but I prefer my 62F 10:30 AM view of my "winter" garden. Herbs, daikon radishes, and brussel sprouts have been growing since Labor Day or longer. 2 Saturdays from now (weather permitting) lettuce, spinach, and cabbage should be going in the ground either as seeds or seedlings.

ridewvYou sure have a great view to enjoy while sipping your morning coffee there chibic, thanks for sharing.
29 with blue sky and sun which is melting what's left of the snow here. It's nice to see the grass becoming exposed for some color.

drill sgtChbibc that looks like what we were seeing out our windows just 2 weeks ago here in south Louisiana...Once in a 100 year winter storm . with temps into the middle single digits... and just a couple of days later we were back in the 60"s and 70"s .... And the wood stove will keep you warm year round .. While cutting / splitting /and burning to keep your surroundings warm and toasty. ..................... drill sgt.

Thankfully no. I have a fenced back yard which keeps out rabbits. 10 years ago, they pretty much clear cut 800 acres of scrub pine to build the neighborhood so little or no squirrels.
The damn birds are rotten though, and take single bites out of tomatoes 3 or 4 days before they are perfectly ripe. Most years, I put bird netting over the tomatoes, but this year I was ill for a couple weeks so the bastards got 10x more tomatoes than I did.
