rduckworThe Lancet dies an ugly death.
The Lancet, a once well respected medical journal has taken a dive into gender dysphoria. Sad days these.

Astonishing, given the Tavistock scandal, but given the state of the United Kingdom, not at all surprising.

They shit the bed when they published the Wakefield "study" back in the 90s. They stopped being relevant years ago.

rat2306I wonder if Mel Brooks still reads it? He appeared in several cameos as characters in his works, reading it. Most famously to me, "Young Frankenstein".

sjtill The Lancet died in 2020 when they published the letter from "the experts" on Coronavirus (with the singular exception of Peter Daszak who orchestrated the letter) who assured everyone that the origin couldn't have been from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

No.
That's what happens when you get in bed with government. The combination of Obamacare and the "regulatory capture" of the FDA, CDC, HHS by big pharma has destroyed health care from a patient perspective.
But... Covid exposed the corruption. A lot more people see it now.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The Lancet and other medical journals were on the gun control = public health bandwagon years ago.

bryan11Was it the editor of New England Journal of Medicine a while back that said most published results couldn't be reproduced?
