Mr. Woods is correct, and we welcome it with open arms. This will be the end result of the left's 30+ year long push for "multiculturalism". ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

I had to look up WTF they are doing. Apparently, one "cleanses" themself with sand when water is not available. Uh huh. Great plan.

Very true, but theocratic nature of the Islamic faith and the Islamic ruling elites that exploit it make it a danger to western culture. They use the first amendment as a Trojan Horse and are slowly hijacking parts of our country. One needn’t look beyond Dearborn or Minneapolis to witness it in action. Heck, I never in my lifetime expected to see US hating Congress men and women elected into our government at the highest levels. It’s downright sickening. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil

Yep. “We” (by “we” I mean our ruling overlords) fail to realize Islam is not a religion, but a governing principle incompatible with our form of governing self-rule.

Well, yeah. You do the same with powdered snow in Arctic conditions. It beats the sores and rashes you get by leaving dead skin in damp, sweaty places. Of all the things to criticize the Qur’an about, “cleansing” using sand when there is no water available for the purpose (as in deserts that the Middle East has lots of) is pretty far down my list. I have used dirt, and would have preferred clean sand, to help remove stuff from my hands that was worse than the dirt. When Muslims were being told to clean themselves by whatever means were available, many Europeans believed that too much bathing was unhealthy. It wasn’t until the 19th century that even doctors decided it was a good idea to wash their hands after treating a patient and before moving on to another. It’s believed that the failure of that practice was one of the main reasons so many women developed infections—often fatal—after childbirth. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9632745/ “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. Talking with a retired IDF tank commander, he related a quote from Yassir Arf-rat that the most powerful weapon to destroy Israel was the womb of the Palestinian woman. _______________________ “The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. sigfreund, I believe you may be missing the point. They aren't "cleansing" jack shit, they're just tossing sand all over themselves and each other while fully clothed, in some sort of ritual.

This is what I remembered from reading the Qur’an cover to cover: “[W]ash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it.” https://legacy.quran.com/5/6 I am not familiar with the “ritual” of just throwing sand on each other, fully clothed. Can you direct us to that description? If it’s in the Qur’an, I have forgotten reading it. I am not, BTW, defending any religious beliefs or practices, merely pointing out that criticizing whatever use they may make of sand in personal hygiene or even rituals is pretty weak sauce in comparison with many other things that we might be upset by. And yes, that admonition has a religious component, but that’s hardly the only religious command that has a practical basis. And to make clear, this was the comment I referred to, not something that may be going on elsewhere:
Added: Okay, I decided to look at the video of people throwing dirt on themselves. Whatever it is, it isn’t what is referred to in the admonition to clean oneself if water is not available, which was the point I was addressing. What’s pictured in the video (and without making any attempt to research further) appears to be more like some sort of mourning ritual, the likes of which are common in various cultures. As I recall, the various Bibles have references to people “rending” their clothes, and certain cultures even demand that close relatives of people who die should do things like knock out a tooth to show that their grief is sincere. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. One hospital had women delivered by doctors and midwives. The death rates were such that women avoided the doctor wards preferring to deliver on their own when they couldn’t get the midwives. “ The work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating; the work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.

Furlough, I once saw a news conference originating in Britain, in which the Muslim speaker said basically the same thing. I'm another who has read the Qur'an cover to cover. I just wish some of our Western "leaders" would. NRA Life

Literally sand people. Have to wonder why their ancestors didn't find some place with some trees and I don't know water, and maybe where it's not to hot all the time... Maybe they'd be in a better mood. "Ninja kick the damn rabbit"
