I know there were some old threads on long covid and some opinions stating there is no such thing, but bear with me. Instead of resurrecting them, I wanted to start a new thread with a different question, who else is experiencing fatigue.

I never got the vaccine but got covid twice. After the second time I started experiencing bad fatigue. By fatigue I mean having no energy, being extremely tired all the time and sleep does see to contribute to or alleviate it. Let me explain since people do not really get what I mean by fatigue. This is not simply being tired where you can go sleep and feel better. I was trying to exercise in my neighborhood and was so worn out walking (yes, just walking) that I really considered taking a nap on my neighbors grass about a block from my house. Another example, I was leaving work and walking to my SUV, about a 150 yard walk. About 2/3 there I considered laying in the grass and taking a nap due to being fatigued, no energy. I have been working for over 40 years, have worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week before with no issues. Lack of motivation is not the issue, I have a great work history.

You can say it is made up and not real, but I have been fighting this for a couple of years and it started after covid and it is very real to me, I have to live with it every day. I never had this issue before covid, call it what you want, but I have it.

I got a new job last year and had to quit due to lacking the ability to perform. Along with fatigue comes brain fog and difficulty concentrating. Thankfully the job I have now is not too demanding and tried to accommodate me. I have a couple years left before I can retire but have considered renting early due to difficulties daily dealing with this. Even when I am off work I have no desire to do the things I like because I have fatigue all the time.

Yes, I have had everything checked that could be causing that, no diabetes, no heart issues, no sleep apnea, I have had bloodwork done for the last 4 years and nothing comes up abnormal.

My doc tried narcolepsy drugs (which did nothing), Testosterone treatments, low dose Naltrexone (which worked a little bit) hydrocortisone, valocycolvir, b12 shots etc. etc. I have been to pulmonologists, endocrinologist, cardiologist, GP, NP etc.

So, the reason I write this, is anyone else experiencing this and what have you tried? You may not want to call it long covid but whatever it is, I have it and am trying to see if anyone else here has and what has worked for you.

Sounds like when I got mono when I was 29-I’d get so tired from walking around the ship I’d lay down and just pass out…

At least that got better. Good luck

I think some strains take a VERY long time for you to get back to feeling how you did before the illness.

Rest as much as you can. I think that is the best way to rid yourself of this stupid man made virus.

Yes. For me it was a cardiac issue, which is a known complication. See your primary, and if your heart doesn't check out right, get ye to a cardiologist.

Covid fatigue is real, I had it bad, and still have it some.

You are describing my spouse.

We both were hit very hard by covid. I spent 6 nights and my spouse 9 nights in the hospital. I was on the "good" floor and my spouse was on the "bad" floor. Most on her floor were intubated and my spouse was close to that step.

Moving forward the brain fog has dissipated but for my wife she has permanent lung damage and also now has been officially diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (cfs).

Cfs is always there in some degree. However, when she has a bad episode, she literally can spend a day, two, or three in bed.

If I ever met Fauci, I would struggle to not punch him in the face. He and his damn flu ruined the remainder of my spouses life.

So far there is not any fix/cure so she has to "live with" her horrid symptoms.

My hope for you is you're not in as bad a position.

Is that associated with Dr. McCullough? A quick look at your link looks like the protocol he and Dr. Victory talk about. They seem to have good results.

Sound somewhat similar, but more extreme, to what my wife was experiencing.
Part of hers was testosterone [and some other levels] at really low levels. A supplement of that & she got a pretty noticeable swing in it.

This is an excellent article!! It covers the medical treatment intensively.

I would add a Red Cell Sedimentation Rate (SedRate) to the CBC as an inflammation index.

Also, psychotherapists that specialize in Long COVID can be helpful as well.

I pray for your speedy recovery!

Maybe do some research on ‘Chronic Fatigue’ and ‘Myalgic Encephalomyelitis’, which can both be triggered by by a viral or bacterial infection (such as mononucleosis or Long COVID), severe physical/emotional trauma, or a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

The symptoms you describe are reported by those with CF.

If you are also experiencing muscle pain and/or very localized muscle pain, then add Fibromyalgia to your research.

Early on in COVID I saw a few doctors who recommended nicotine lozenges or patches to help with Covid. The spike protein likes to bind to the nicotine receptors in your brain but if you give the nicotine receptors their preferred substance (nicotine) they will shed the spike
Protein. Sounds crazy I know. But smokers were largely not impacted by covid and I’m still seeing it recommended for long covid all these years later. That being said, I knew of 2 people personally who had long covid symptoms, they tried the nicotine and within a matter of days they felt back 100%.
