Less Biased News Sources?

flesheatingvirusLess Biased News Sources?
I don’t think UNbiased sources exist anymore. What does everyone think of this chart?
https://www.allsides.com/sites...asChart-Version8.jpgI like how this site gives options from various sources, but I’m skeptical of their categorization system. For example, I’m a bit surprised that Fox made it to the far right, but CNN didn’t make far left.
Any other options?

sjtillI could quibble about Fox News Channel, it at least they have NYT far left.
Real Clear Politics is interesting. Editorially they’re conservative it they carefully balance opinion columns from left and right sources on their website. I’ve heard it said they are whet the NYT claims to be.
Another good conservative source without all the “ red meat” stuff is Joh Solomon’s justthenews.com.

12131I would put Fox News one step to the left from its current standing.
And Reuters and Newsweek should be one step to the left of their current standing.

stickman428Interesting. I don’t agree with the placement of politico, CNN or Fox News. Frankly it makes me question the honesty and integrity of those compiling graphs like this.
I’d like to look at the data they used to compile this chart. How did they measure each outlets level of political perspective? I’d love to see their argument for why Fox News is far right but CNN isn’t given the opposite spot on the left. I really want to see the way they came to that conclusion.

flesheatingvirusTheir main site is compiled in an interesting fashion.
https://www.allsides.com/unbiased-balanced-newsWhen you click on a topic area, they offer a selection of color-coded selections from each of the three leanings (left, center, right). I hadn’t seen it done like that before. It is near to be able to read all three to make some comparisons.
I, too, would like to have more detail on how they categorize. “…based on multi-partisan, scientific analysis.” Then there should be something in writing…

The NYT is listed as "leans left." Their opinion side (Editorial) is listed as far left.

Pipe SmokerI like the Daily Mail. This article, for example:
Flight from blue states to red: America is on the move“Americans are 'voting with their feet' and waving goodbye to eye-watering taxes, high living costs and bad job prospects in Democrat-leaning areas for better deals in red states, experts told DailyMail.com. …”

jljonesNews is about money, and not news. And that money is used to shape opinion, promote narratives, etc. All media outlets slant stories. They may just slant it in the direction you like. Merely reporting the news isn’t profitable.
If it is reported by anyone on the chart in the OP, it is about clicks and views. So, you can’t really claim that one source has “less bias”, it just may have less right bias or less left bias. The bias will still exist.
But, people these days want to read the news that suits them. These organizations just supply what their base wants.

egregoreThere are no truly
unbiased news sources. It's a matter of which way they are biased.

doublesharpStyx666 interprets current events better than any source I'm aware of. Conservative Treehouse is good, too.
I wholeheartedly trust none of those listed - some are better than others but propaganda is the coin of the realm.

Carpentermaass84As of today Fox is just as far left as NYT. Rather than fight off Dominion's baseless lawsuit and support our president's claim that the DNC and Dominion conspired to steal the election Fox is actively seeking a settlement in the trial.... To me that speaks volumes... I feel like Fox has merely pandered to our side but when on the spot they've chosen to cower.

DTREND75I use The Factual
They don't report the news but gather from all the sources. Then they divide them up as Left or Right. They even go as far as raking the news source based on accuracy/honesty.
If you pay the $25 yearly rate, they also expand articles into categories of long reads, little-talked-about news stories, stories for the left or the right, etc.
