Actually had 2 days in a row without any rain and with temps in the 60s had been lots of rain and in the 30s and 40s.

So got some work done on the old Silverado.
New fog lights, cabin air filters, and a new blower motor resistor, also drilled a couple tiny holes in the rear of the signal housing as it was holding moisture. Did this with my Explorer and never had any moisture after that. Hopefully the outcome will be the same and not need to replace them.
I am a maintenance freak and do all the scheduled maintenance at half the intervals that the factory suggests. Yet I have never in my 20 years of working on cars changed a cabin filter. Not sure why just never really thought about them. Was having some issues on low with the blower (hence the new resistor) but one video I saw swapped the cabin filters to help flow. So figured I would do it. Boy was it nasty up there. This was my grandfathers truck before I got it. The cabin filter had been changed as one of the screws holding the cover in was missing but still nasty.

I found a tiny little corner light out so that needs done and the battery date stamp is March04.
So I figure I won’t press my luck anymore and swap out a 15 year old battery (ACDelco) that is a new record for me 12 was my oldest prior.

Cabin filters...that’s some nasty stuff there.

There is a saying I heard years ago- either you have an air filter, or you are an air filter.

Best of luck with the fog lights, seems to be super common on Silverados & Tahoes for those to be broken.

The cabin air filter was changed in an '08 I recently acquired. Wish I did it two years ago for the person who had the car the previous four years. The book says every year, and it is only one filter for the entire system ... AC and heat are kicking out far better velocity now.

Me, I want just one time standard for the whole year.

Even better, it may be time for Individual Time to make its appearance. When I say I identify with, say, 9am, then my clock will be 9am. And I'll interact with others at my time, while they in theirs. So I can arrive for a meeting at my 9am, and my counterpart might be on his/her 4pm. No problem. Afterwards I go to brunch and he/she heads out for a few beers and home.
